Work continues in Belarus to create modern conditions for keeping young cattle. As of October 1, 533 calf dispensaries have been built and put into operation in the country. This was reported by sb.by in the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food.

The leader in the number of new facilities was the Gomel region - 163 dispensaries were introduced here. In the Minsk region built 111 such facilities in Grodno — 102. In Vitebsk region 72 dispensaries were introduced, in Mogilev - 46, in Brest - 39.
Prophylactics are designed to keep calves in the milky period - the most vulnerable stage of their growth and development. Creating comfortable conditions at this stage allows reducing the morbidity and death of young animals, as well as laying the foundation for high productivity of the future dairy herd.
The construction of such facilities is carried out as part of systematic work to modernize the livestock industry and strengthen the food security of the country.
