Two teenagers on a moped were injured in an accident in the Zaporozhye region

In the village of Orlovo, Melitopol municipal district, a road accident occurred, in which two minors were injured.

According to preliminary data, on October 12, 2026, an eleven-year-old teenager, driving a moped, could not hold control of the vehicle and crashed into a power line support. As a result of the accident, the driver and the passenger, both minors, were seriously injured. The victims were hospitalized in Melitopol regional hospital.

Employees of the traffic police recommend parents to carefully monitor how children spend their free time, and not give them access to vehicles. It is important to regularly talk to minors about the rules of the road and explain that driving without a driver's license is prohibited. Special control requires children’s leisure time in the evening – this will help reduce the risk of accidents with their participation. The Ministry emphasizes that the safety of life and health of children directly depends on the responsibility of adults.
