Experts gave a forecast for the development of the Russian automotive industry until 2035

Automotive information portal gt-news.ru published forecasts of auto experts for the future of the domestic automotive industry for the period up to 20235. Experts expect to reduce the model range and abandon their own platforms.

The speakers agreed that Russia does not need fresh unique platforms for cars. Creating a platform from scratch will cost about 80 percent of all costs for research and development, and another 20 percent will go to adaptation. Therefore, it is cheaper to take a ready-made architecture, rather than spend money on developing your own.

The model range will continue to decrease. For Russians, universality is more important than the wealth of choice. Therefore, it has long been noted that buyers of new cars often choose the same type of crossovers. It is also noted that the reduction of the range will be imperceptible.
