In September, individuals in Belarus sold $206.9 million more than they bought

In September, the population of Belarus retained the status of a net seller of foreign currency, while companies were net buyers. This was reported in the press service of the National Bank, writes sb.by.

During the month, individuals bought cash and non-cash currency for $1.107 billion, and sold for $1.314 billion. Thus, the net sale was $ 206.9 million. Since the beginning of the year, individuals have sold $1.817 billion more than they purchased.

Legal entities resident in Belarus in September, on the contrary, were net buyers. They bought $676.6 million worth more than they sold. The total volume of purchases by legal entities amounted to $ 3.613 billion, sales - $ 2.937 billion. In January-September, net purchases of foreign currency by companies reached $1.572 billion.
