General agreement on construction of the third power unit of the Belarusian NPP in a high degree of readiness - Ministry of Energy

The general agreement on the construction of the third power unit of the Belarusian nuclear power plant is in a high degree of readiness. This was stated by the Minister of energy Denis Moroz before the XXX Belarusian energy and environmental forum.

Last year, a decision was made to further develop nuclear power in Belarus.

- Today, the issue of the construction of the third power unit 1200 MW of the BelNPP is being deeply studied. In parallel, the issue of building another nuclear power plant is being resolved. In accordance with the instructions of the Head of State and the Government, we are working closely with Rosatom. The State Corporation is interested in the construction of the third power unit of the Belarusian NPP. A general framework agreement should be prepared. Now this document is in a high degree of readiness.

The Minister expressed confidence that its signing will be announced soon.
