The index of the Moscow Exchange with additional code (IMOEX2) at the evening trading session accelerated growth and exceeded 2,400 points for the first time since June 30, 2026. This is evidenced by the data of the trading platform, write the Russian media.

As of 23:40 GMT, the index grew by 4 percent, reaching 2403.16 points. By 20:25 GMT, it slightly slowed down growth and was at the level of 2399.6 points.

The index itself closed at around 2401.8 points at 23:50 GMT on October 9. Other details of the bidding are not given.

Earlier, the Kremlin published a statement by Russian President Vladimir Putin following a conversation with US President Donald Trump. After Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak spoke about the abolition of the ban on diesel exports.
