Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Viktor Karankevich met with khokim of Tashkent region of Uzbekistan Zoyir Mirzayev. The Deputy Prime Minister is confident that the visit of distinguished guests to our country will give an additional powerful impetus to the implementation of previously reached bilateral agreements in the trade and economic sphere.

- A particularly striking example is the level of relations between the heads of state – the presidents of Belarus and Uzbekistan, which demonstrate an example of high trust, respect, support and friendship between our countries.

- It is also very important to note the growing cooperation at the regional level, including within the framework of the agreements of the III Forum of Regions of Belarus and Uzbekistan. I am sure that your visit to Belarus will give a powerful impetus to the development and implementation of these agreements. It is very important for us to further build relations on the creation and development of cooperation ties, the creation of joint ventures, industries that are aimed at strengthening interaction between our countries and improving the welfare of citizens who live in our countries, said Viktor Karankevich.

- We work in Minsk, in Gomel, now Brest is being added. Yesterday in Grodno we visited three facilities that our companies are building. The roadmap included six projects totaling $121 million, all of which have already begun work. Today we managed to visit MAZ, and negotiations began there.

- Our task is to develop bilateral relations at the regional level.
