In less than 80 years, China has turned from an agrarian country into a pillar of the global economy. First Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Nikolai Snopkov said this during a solemn event on the occasion of the 77th anniversary of the formation of the People's Republic of China, sb.by correspondent reports.

- Looking at the path that China has taken over these decades, we are genuinely admiring. In less than eighty years – a very short period by historical standards – China has transformed from an agrarian country into a powerful industrial and scientific and technological power, into a pillar of the global economy, providing more than 30 percent of world economic growth.

The First Deputy Prime Minister stressed that the complete elimination of poverty on such a scale, ensuring a decent life for hundreds of millions of citizens is an example that has no analogues in world history.
- There is a Chinese saying: “Do not be afraid that you do not know, be afraid that you do not learn.” China did not just learn, it is now a teacher to the world. Today, the Chinese people are confidently moving towards the realization of the goals of two centuries, to the realization of the dream of the great revival of their centuries-old nation, said Nikolai Snopkov.
