The number of self-employed in the Orel region increased by 14 thousand

The number of residents of the Oryol region who chose the status of self-employed continues to grow. As of September 1, almost 57.7 thousand people are registered in the region - this is 14 thousand more than a year earlier, the press service of the Federal Tax Service reports.

Along with the number of participants in the special regime, tax revenues also increased - the region's budget received 285.8 million rubles, which is 58.6 million rubles more than in the same period last year.

A special tax regime for professional income is available to those who work for themselves, have no employees and earn no more than 2.4 million rubles a year. The popularity of this status is explained by the ease of use: the self-employed are not required to submit declarations, and calculations are carried out automatically through the application. It is important that such a format can be combined with the main work under an employment contract, while the seniority is preserved.

In addition, since 2026, self-employed people have the opportunity to receive paid sick leave: it is enough to voluntarily register with the Social Fund and make monthly contributions.
