The document within the framework of the Open Day of the Moscow Polytechnic University was signed by the General Director of United Petrochemicals (part of SINTEC Group) Evgeny Osipov and Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of the University Gyuzel Sharipzyanova.
The partnership covers key areas of science and education. The main task is to blur the line between theory and real production. Students will have access to the advanced sites of the company for all types of practices, internships, work on technological cases and applied research.
We have been cooperating for many years with regional and federal universities and universities, for example, with IATE NRNU MEPhI, where we opened a modern laboratory of organic chemistry at the level of leading enterprises of the country, Gubkin RSU of Oil and Gas and other educational institutions. Therefore, for us, this is a continuation of the systematic work that we began many years ago in Obninsk and the Kaluga region. We are very glad to strengthen cooperation with the Moscow Polytechnic University – the university annually produces several thousand young specialists, and it is very important for us that they are familiar with the specifics of activities and tasks of the industry, said Olga Sysoyeva, HR Director of the company.
In the educational part of the agreement, the parties agreed on joint development of training programs, advanced training, professional retraining and targeted training of specialists. Managers and experts of the company will directly participate in the implementation of the educational process on topical topics and will become part of the state examination commissions.
Our industry today lacks young professionals who are not afraid of non-standard tasks and are ready to work at the intersection of practice and science. The new agreement with Mospoliteh is not point lectures and excursions to production. One of the tasks is that enthusiastic students from the first year learn to solve real technological cases, study the physical and chemical properties of various substances, develop and create innovations in demand in Russia and around the world, Evgeny Osipov emphasized. The company and the university have everything necessary for this: a strong theoretical base and one of the best production sites in the country. It is a matter of small – for the interest of the children themselves to build a successful engineering career.”.
The University has had points of contact before: the company has been supporting the racing team and the engineering school of Mospolitek for many years, and its specialists lecture students on profile topics. These initiatives are now evolving into a fundamental five-year program that will include collaborative workshops, applied research, forums and student-themed competitions.
“For the Moscow Polytechnic University, this is an important and timely agreement: we are a practice-oriented university and are always interested in ensuring that training is inextricably linked with real production,” concluded Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Gyuzel Sharipzyanova. Partnership will allow students to solve practical engineering problems, participate in joint research, undergo internships at modern sites and get acquainted with the specifics of the industry during their studies. I am sure that such a combination of science, education and production will help train engineers of the new generation, which are in demand in Russia and abroad.
