More than 40 million rubles were allocated for the implementation of projects included in the Regional Initiative program this year for small and medium-sized businesses. This was told on the air of the ONT channel by the General Director of the Belarusian Fund for Financial Support of Entrepreneurs Peter Arushanyants, reports sb.by.

As noted by Peter Arushanyants, this year the demand for financial support from small and medium-sized businesses is much higher than in previous periods. During the nine months of this year, we provided financial support for more than 40 million rubles, which is 2 million rubles more than for the whole of last year. Moreover, 60% of projects come from regions that actively participate in such an investment platform as the Regional Initiative. More than 600 projects passed through the site for 2026, he said.
In 2027, the fund plans to work even more actively with entrepreneurs and legal entities, focusing on the digitalization of projects. Next year, we want to further strengthen the digitalization of processes: we are working on a national platform for small and medium-sized businesses. We see that the demand for support and its digital form is high, it first of all speeds up processes, makes them simpler and more understandable, and also contributes to the implementation of investment ideas and tasks, said Peter Arushanyants.
