In Tula, on October 8, the IV Interregional Meeting of Social Entrepreneurs “One Cannot Compete” opened at the site of the Oktava cluster. The Governor of the Tula region Dmitry Milyaev welcomed the participants and noted that for three years the event has become a large interregional platform - the number of guests has increased from 100 to 200 people.
The head of the region stressed that business needs competition, but there are tasks that are better solved together. The main theme of this year was the creation of territories where families are comfortable - the meeting continues the strategy "Tula region - the territory of family happiness". Support measures discussed at the site are implemented within the framework of the national project “Effective and Competitive Economy”.
“Social entrepreneurship is not only a socially useful activity, it is a real business. You create jobs, form teams, invest your own money. I want to thank you for this work, for your responsibility, Milyaev said.
He recalled that 161 social enterprises operate in the region, almost twice as many as in 2020.
Earlier, MK in Tula reported that since the beginning of 2026, more than 600 enterprises of the Tula region have entered the markets of 86 countries. Among the main directions are the UAE, Belarus, China, Turkey and India.
