The roadmap for cooperation between Minsk region and Kakheti region (Georgia) was signed on October 8 in Telavi. This was reported by sb.by in the press service of the Ministry of Regional Executive Committee.

- Chairman of the Ministry of Regional Executive Committee Alexei Kushnarenko on October 8 met in Telavi with the head of the Kakheti region Platon Kalmakhelidze, the press service informed. The main outcome of the negotiations was the signing of a roadmap for cooperation for 2026-2028.
The document establishes practical areas of joint work. The focus is agriculture, industry, education, sports and tourism. The parties also intend to develop direct ties between the municipalities: a potential partner district in Kakheti, Signahi, has already been identified for the Minsk district.
- We are interested in cooperation with Georgia - trade turnover this year amounted to $ 25 million and grew by 35 percent, said Alexei Kushnarenko.
As part of the Belarusian delegation, business representatives arrived in Kakheti. Enterprises of Minsk region signed contracts totaling 11 million US dollars. Among the promising areas of cooperation is the supply of peat products, including nutritious soils for agriculture.
The new document is designed to give the interaction of the Minsk region and Kakheti a systemic character and strengthen business and humanitarian ties between the regions, the Ministry of Regional Executive Committee summed up.
