Moskva is preparing to launch cryptocurrency trading in December

The Moscow Exchange plans to provide an opportunity to trade cryptocurrencies from December 1, 2026. This was announced by senior managing director for sales and business development of the site Boris Blokhin.

According to Blokhin, the exchange has been testing transactions with digital currencies within the stock market for a week. The inspections will last until the start of the bidding, and professional market participants are invited to participate in them.

For operations, the platform intends to use the existing infrastructure of the stock market. Blokhin said that the new legislation allows the Moscow Exchange to work under the current license of the organizer of the auction without additional permits and inclusion in the registers.

New rules for the circulation of digital currencies in Russia came into force on September 1, 2026. They include transactions through existing financial infrastructure, including exchanges and brokers, and the emergence of digital depositories to record rights to such assets.
