Analysts called the regions of Russia with the highest level of median wages. The Chelyabinsk region was in 22nd place in this list.
The study was conducted by analysts of RIA Novosti, which relied on data from the second quarter of 2026. During this period, the average nominal accrued wages in the country exceeded 111 thousand rubles. This figure is 11% higher than it was a year earlier. At the same time, there is a decrease in the growth rate of median wages throughout Russia.
In the Chelyabinsk region, the median wage in the second quarter of 2026 amounted to 62,254 rubles per month. The ratio of net median salary to fixed set of goods and services in the region was 2.72. These results allowed the Chelyabinsk region to take 22nd place in the All-Russian rating.
Other regions of the Ural Federal District were ranked as follows: Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug (1st place, 155,079 rubles. ratio - 5.07); Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug (5th place, 114,094 rubles. ratio - 3.76); Tyumen region (18th place, 68 768 rubles. ratio - 2.80); Sverdlovsk region (27th place, 69 249 rubles. ratio - 2.62); Kurgan region (57th place, 56,387 rubles. ratio - 2.31).
