New factories and expansion of production. The head of the administration of FEZ Brest - about the prospects for its development

What new production will appear on the territory of the free economic zone "Brest", said the head of the FEZ administration Vadim Kravchuk, BelTA reports.

This year we have registered one new resident – a logistics company. Until the end of the year, we are working on three more residents who intend to implement projects in the mechanical engineering and chemical industry, Vadim Kravchuk said.

There are 76 residents in the Brest Free Economic Zone. They work in the fields of mechanical engineering, food, light, chemical industry, electronics, woodworking, production of construction, finishing and other materials.

Modernization and new construction are constant satellites for the development of the free economic zone. In particular, one of the residents was engaged in the expansion of the site for the production of ice cream and fish, in another location a plant for the production of plastic containers for food products is being built. Another company is implementing a project to produce equipment for industrial ventilation. Another company plans to establish the production of submersible pumping stations at one of the proposed sites.

A forum dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the first free economic zone in Belarus is being held in Brest. Now the investment site occupies 50 sq. km Production facilities are located in Brest, Baranovichi, Pinsk, Brest, Kobrin, Drohichinsky, Ivatsevichi and Gantsevichi districts.
