New modern dairy complex for 1330 heads opened in Kalinkovichi district

The construction of the ITC in the Druzhba-Avtyuki SEC of the Kalinkovichi district began in the summer of 2025. The project included not only the construction of all necessary premises for cattle, but also the creation of associated engineering infrastructure. The new complex will allow a quarter increase in milk production in the Kalinkovichi district, writes sb.by.

The new MTC with a capacity of 1334 cattle for dairy cows is located near the agro-town of Syrod, Kalinkovichi district. There were two barns, a milking and dairy block, a room for keeping dry cows, a calves dispensary, a small milking hall. Head of ITC Natalia Kazatinskaya emphasizes:

- Especially pleased with the modern dispensary, which will create full protection for calves. You can not worry about the safety of livestock. Taking part in the opening ceremony, the Chairman of the Gomel Regional Executive Committee Ivan Krupko noted that the appearance of a new complex on the eve of the regional festival-fair "Dazhynki", which will be held just in the Kalinkovichi district, is very symbolic:

- The Dazhynki holiday highlights not only the events of the outgoing agricultural year, but also shows what we will have tomorrow and how we will develop in the future. This complex is a high-tech facility that will give a serious result in the production of high quality products. Most importantly, highly skilled jobs are created here.

By the end of 2025, the volume of milk production by agricultural organizations of the Kalinkovichi district amounted to 36.9 thousand tons. The commissioning of the dairy complex in the Druzhba-Avtyuki SEC will allow the farm itself to additionally produce 9.3 thousand tons of milk, which means increasing production by 1.5 times with the productivity of one cow at least seven tons of milk per year. As for the increase in milk in the region as a whole, it will be more than 25 percent.

The construction of the MTC is another step in the work to transfer the herd of dairy cows from tethered farms to advanced dairy complexes equipped with modern milking halls. This task should be completed everywhere in all agricultural organizations of the region by 2030. Recently, 26 dairy complexes have been built in the region. Until the end of the year, eight more ITCs were commissioned, in particular in the Mozyr, Rogachev and Zhlobinsky districts.
