Penza machine tool builders noted at the all-Russian industry event

Penza machine tool builders took part in the all-Russian industry event “Customer Day-2026”, which was held in Moscow. Representatives of industrial enterprises, specialized departments, equipment manufacturers, scientific and educational organizations met at the site. In total, the event brought together about 400 specialists from 217 organizations.

The work of the “Customer’s Day” was opened by the Minister of Industry and Trade of Russia Anton Alikhanov. The participants discussed the development of the machine tool industry, the implementation of national projects and federal programs, the digitalization of production and regulatory issues. One of the sites was a meeting of the chief designers of machine tool enterprises.

The Penza region was represented at the event by managers and specialists of the first machine tool cluster in Russia. Industrialist Oleg Kochetkov spoke during the discussions and presented his vision for the further development of the industry.

As a result of the event, the Head Center for Competences of the Machine Tool Industry of MSTU “STANKIN” sent gratitude to the leadership of the Penza Machine Tool Cluster for participation in the work of the “Customer Day”.

Oleg Alexandrovich is a true patriot of his cause and of his country. Thanks to such leaders, the Russian machine-tool industry is not only developing, but confidently moving forward – towards technological independence, new achievements and success, the letter says.

Separately, the GCC noted the interaction of the enterprise with educational organizations. Machine tool builders participate in the training of students, give them the opportunity to gain practical experience and introduce them to modern production. One example of such cooperation was the basic department of Metal cutting machines of Penza State University, located on the site of the enterprise.

Director of the Penza College of Information and Industrial Technologies Natalia Chistyakova told about the training of young personnel within the framework of the thematic session. Students get acquainted with modern equipment, production technologies and real work processes under the guidance of specialists of the enterprise.

It is this union of the college and the factory – with real orders, salaries and mentors – that shows that SPO today is able to respond to the challenges of time faster and more accurately than it seems. This means that Russian production has not only equipment, but also people who are ready to work on it, said the head of the Penza College of Information and Industrial Technologies.

Another area of work of machine tool builders was the development of professional skills. On the basis of the Penza enterprise, the federal stage of the All-Russian competition “Best in Profession” in the Tokar nomination was held. The Head Competence Center noted that holding such events contributes to the popularization of working professions.

“Thank you to the Penza delegates and personally to Oleg Kochetkov for his leadership, openness, patriotism, loyalty to the industry and a confident course towards the development of domestic machine tool building,” Yuri Koval, Director of the SCC, summed up.

“Customer’s Day” was held in Moscow for the second time. The participants discussed the importance of developing the machine tool industry and its role in ensuring technological independence of the industry.

As part of the event, Penza media representatives prepared the release of the program “Modern machine tool construction in Russia”. It tells about the enterprises of the industry, used technologies and specialists who work on the development of domestic machine tool construction.
