Reshuffle in Binance after theft: who headed the company

CFO of Binance Kaiser Ng leaves the company after hacking the largest crypto exchange. Reuters reports.

According to Binance co-executive director Yi He, Ng has decided to pursue a new business after more than five years. The transition plan was implemented over the past six months.

Justin Yak, who previously served as Vice President of Finance at Airwallex, has been appointed as the new CFO.

The announcement comes days after hackers stole $6.3 billion from the platform. The leak began on October 29 with malware in downloadable files and fake vacancies for engineers.

Binance has promised to reimburse customers. The FBI has accused a North Korean group of theft, but Pyongyang denies it.
