First agreements at INNOPROM: MAZ and Gazprom Transgaz Belarus signed a cooperation agreement

The gas transmission company Gazprom Transgaz Belarus and the flagship of the Belarusian automotive industry MAZ today, on September 30, signed an agreement on cooperation within the framework of the international industrial exhibition INNOPROM. Belarus ", writes sb.by.

One of the key areas of partnership will be the expansion of the production of NGVs.

— We have been cooperating with Gazprom for a long time, we are engaged in the production of equipment on gas-engine fuel. This is a new milestone in the development of our model range — an environmentally friendly direction. And today the entire model range of MAZ has been switched to the use of such fuel. This reduces the cost of equipment and makes it more attractive to the end user. And we are introducing the Russian experience in Belarus, "said Deputy General Director of MAZ OJSC — the managing company of BelavtoMAZ Holding — Commercial Director Sergei Shulyak.

As part of the agreement, the parties will intensify efforts to introduce modern technological solutions, exchange competencies and search for new opportunities for joint work. The partnership is aimed at the long-term development of the segment of automotive equipment based on compressed and liquefied natural gas.

— This agreement sums up the results of our long-term cooperation with MAZ. We have been cooperating for more than 15 years. It is aimed at using a completely new unique type of fuel — natural gas — throughout the entire line of equipment of the Belarusian plant, ”added Deputy General Director of Gazprom Transgaz Belarus Daniil Marchenkov.

It should be noted that cooperation between MAZ and Gazprom Transgaz Belarus has a long history. Today, MAZ produces more than two dozen models of equipment for CNG and LNG. The strategic partnership includes the renewal of the corporate fleet of Gazprom Transgaz Belarus with Belarusian-made cars and buses.

The signed agreement is designed for five years and will contribute to the development of the NGV market of the Union State.
