The rise in price of tomatoes and eggs recorded in the Ivanovo region

Over the past week, from October 20 to 26, the inflation rate in the country amounted to 0.08%, while fruit and vegetable products remained the key driver of price growth. Prices have also risen in the Ivanovo region.

The leaders in the rise in price were tomatoes, which immediately added about 8%, as well as fresh cucumbers. Against the background of the seasonal factor, the cost of the so-called “borsch set” is growing: potatoes rose by 1.6%.

A slight increase affected basic food products: eggs added 1.3%, and poultry, cottage cheese and sour cream rose in price within 0.5%.

At the same time, deflation was recorded on a number of positions. Cabbage, carrots and apples became more affordable during the reporting week. Sugar fell by 1%, and gasoline prices fell by more than 1.5%.
