Extended powers of financial ombudsman Denis Novak

The Board of Directors of the Bank of Russia1 decided to extend from October 25, 2026 the powers of Denis Novak as Financial Commissioner for Consumers of Financial Services in the fields of insurance, microfinance, credit cooperation, activities of credit institutions.

According to the Federal Law of 04.06.2018 No. 123-FZ “On the Commissioner for Consumers of Financial Services”, the financial commissioner is appointed by the Board of Directors of the Bank of Russia on the proposal of the chief financial commissioner for a period of 5 years. Denis Novak was first appointed Commissioner for Consumer Financial Services on October 11, 2021.
