As part of the All-Russian Occupational Safety Week in Pskov, a conference was held on modern methods of trade union control over compliance with safety standards at work. The event was opened by Deputy Chairman of the Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Russia David Kristal.

Chairman Igor Ivanov took part in the conference from the Pskov Regional Council of Trade Unions. He stressed the key role of trade union mechanisms in ensuring the safety of employees.

“Union control in the field of occupational safety is not just a formality, but a real tool for reducing risks and negative factors in the workplace. It is through him that the legitimate human right to safe work, preservation of life and health is realized, Igor Ivanov said.
