In Belarus, thanks to the efficient work of the economy, faster growth rates of incomes of the population have been ensured. This was stated by Deputy Minister of Economy Elena Boligatova at a meeting of the National Council for Labor and Social Affairs, the department reported.

Elena Boligatova said that the growth rate of real incomes of the population in the first seven months of 2026 amounted to 108.1%, which is significantly higher than the forecast.
The main driver of increasing the income of citizens is the dynamics of wages. In real terms for January-August, it added 7.7%. The level of wages of state employees is growing even faster.
Increasing income allows people to behave more actively in the consumer market. Retail turnover for eight months of this year increased by 8.4% compared to the same period last year. The growth of real incomes of the population was largely facilitated by the measures taken by the government to curb inflation. Consumer prices in January-August compared to the same period of 2025 increased by 5.1%. At the same time, by the end of August, one of the lowest inflation levels in the EAEU countries was ensured - plus 4.5%, Elena Boligatova noted.
She stressed that in the future, the implementation of production, export and investment programs will contribute to the positive dynamics of economic indicators. Appropriate approaches are enshrined in the presidential decree of September 30, 2026 No. 342 "On the most important indicators and parameters of social and economic development of the Republic of Belarus for 2027".
- Increasing the competitiveness of domestic products, increasing export supplies, improving the financial condition of enterprises will guarantee the fulfillment of social obligations of the state. This is primarily the creation of decent living conditions, improving the quality of infrastructure and further increasing the income of the population, said Elena Boligatova.
