Over the past three years, the growth rate of dairy herd productivity in the Gomel region was 121%. The basis for the production breakthrough was the commissioning of modern dairy complexes and selective work with livestock. About how investments in new MTK pay off in practice, and who today is the leader in the yield in the region, in an exclusive interview with sb.by told the Chairman of the Gomel regional Executive Committee Ivan Krupko.

For the period from 2023 to 2025, 21 dairy complexes were built and put into operation in the region. This large-scale work in the region continues: on the eve of the holiday of Dazhynki village workers, a new modern complex designed for the maintenance of 1,334 heads was opened in the Druzhba-Avtyuki SEC of the Kalinkovichi district, which will increase the gross milk production in the region by 25% at once.
- Over the past 3 years, the growth rate of dairy herd productivity has increased by 121%, primarily due to selective work with livestock and, of course, with the introduction of new modern dairy complexes, said Ivan Krupko. On the built MTC on average 1 cow milked 19.7 kg per day, of which 13 facilities milk productivity exceeds 20 kg per cow. Among the leaders of the region, it is possible to note OJSC Tikhinichi of the Rogachevsky district, where more than 30 kg are milked per day for 1 head, and more than 25 kg are milked in the Krinichnoye Experimental Base and Slobodskoye Lenin State Enterprise of the Mozyr district. The construction of new MTCs allows to increase the productivity of dairy herds and, accordingly, the volume of milk production.

The foundation for high productivity is the harvesting of fodder: farms of the Gomel region on October 7 have already prepared 143.1 thousand tons of hay, 1365 thousand tons of hay and 2215 thousand tons of silo. According to advanced technology, 68 thousand tons of herbal feed are laid in the polymer film. 26.67 centners of feed units were stored on the conditional head of cattle.
