From 2027, farmers of Donbass and Novorossiya will receive subsidies for insurance

The Russian government announced the expansion of state support measures for the agro-industrial complex of new regions. From 2027, agricultural producers of Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics, as well as Zaporizhia and Kherson regions will be able to receive subsidies for the payment of insurance premiums.

According to the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin, the agricultural insurance program will allow farmers to protect future crops on preferential terms from climatic risks, including adverse weather conditions and natural disasters. The Cabinet of Ministers stressed that the decision will be an important step in the integration of new territories and their full access to the all-Russian level of economic development.
