1783 residents of Tomsk region receive rural pension supplement

Pensioners who have worked at least 30 years in agriculture are entitled to additional support from the state - a 25 percent surcharge to a fixed part of the insurance pension. In the Tomsk region, 1783 people use this measure.

To receive a surcharge, you need to meet three conditions: have at least 30 years of rural experience, live in rural areas and not work. The list of professions entitling to the allowance includes more than 500 specialties - from agronomists and mechanics to veterinarians and masters of machine milking.

For periods of work in kolkhozes, sovkhozes, peasant farms and agricultural artels until January 1, 1992, a simplified procedure operates: any work is counted in the length of service, regardless of position.

The allowance is a quarter of the fixed payment to the insurance pension. From January 1, 2026, with a fixed payment of 9584.69 rubles, the surcharge will be 2396.17 rubles.

In most cases, the allowance is appointed automatically when issuing a pension - additional certificates are not necessary to collect. If the pensioner after the appointment of a surcharge moves from the village to the city, the payment will remain in full.

Dmitry Maltsev, Head of the Tomsk Region SFR Branch, noted that they are trying to make the process of obtaining an allowance as simple and proactive as possible. But there is an important caveat: if a person at the time of retirement continued to work, after dismissal, he needs to declare his right to recalculate. To do this, it is enough to apply to any client service of the Department.
