Shuvaev: “Budget in the three-year period is projected deficit”

The Governor of the Belgorod region Alexander Shuvaev said that in 2027-2029 predict the budget deficit of the region. In 2027, it can reach 12.9 billion rubles. This is 10.7% of their own income. The head of the Belgorod region associated the deficit with the operational situation.

In 2027, the projected income of the regional budget will be 120.9 billion rubles. At the same time, the costs will be 133.8 billion rubles. The authorities expect that in just three years the budget of the region will be replenished by 377.6 billion rubles, while all costs will amount to 416.1 billion rubles.

Alexander Shuvaev noted that 80% of expenses are social. These are education, health care and family support. He said that all social obligations to residents will be fully fulfilled.

In addition, the Belgorod Governor informed that the region continues to work on improving the budget. The expected volume of investments in 2026 is more than 9.6 billion rubles. In 2027-2029, it will amount to more than 6 billion rubles annually. This will reduce the need for additional costs.
