Tatarstan exported halal products worth $35 million

The Republic of Tatarstan for nine months of 2026 has put on foreign markets halal products in the amount of $ 35 million. These data were announced at the 32nd meeting of the Board of Directors of the Institute of Standardization and Metrology of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation by Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Tajikistan Farid Abdulganiyev.

He stressed that the halal industry has become an important branch of the economy for the region and an effective mechanism for building trust between producers and consumers, as well as between Russia and the countries of the Islamic world.

More than 150 manufacturers of Halal products work in the republic today. Last year, exports tripled to $45 million, and exceeded $35 million in the first nine months of this year.

The meeting of the SMIIC Board of Directors in Kazan became a platform for discussing the further development of standardization and metrology in the field of halal. For Tatarstan, participation in the work of this authoritative international organization opens up additional opportunities for promoting local goods and exchanging experience with foreign partners.
