Technology, food, tourism: Kiyko spoke about the main areas of cooperation with the Magadan region

On October 7, a meeting of the working group on cooperation between the Republic of Belarus and the Magadan region is being held in Magadan. On the eve of the event, the co-chairman of the group from the Belarusian side, the Minister for Taxes and Duties Dmitry Kiyko and the Ambassador of Belarus to Russia Yuri Seliverstov met with the Governor of the Russian region Sergey Nosov. The negotiations outlined the main areas of cooperation, reports sb.by.

The first topic for cooperation between Belarus and Magadan is the supply of equipment, said Dmitry Kiyko. A multi-brand center of Belarusian cars was opened in the Russian regional center. The partners intend to develop this direction in the future.

- Today we have a fairly wide range of equipment in various directions. For example, Pozhsnab is the only company in Belarus that produces fire engines. We would also like to invite you to consider the products of the Minsk Automobile Plant – ambulances that can be equipped for the specific needs of health care institutions, said the Minister of Taxes and Duties of Belarus.

The second topic for the development of cooperation is the supply of Belarusian food products to the Far East. Local retailers have a certain interest in this direction, branded Belarusian food stores work in Magadan.

- We understand that we are separated by a very long distance, but nevertheless business will look for options for cooperation. In principle, this is in demand, and we are also ready to work together if partners are interested, to consider interaction in any format, said Dmitry Kiyko.

Belarus invites the Magadan region to consider the prospects of cooperation in the construction sector, the co-chairman of the working group on cooperation added. In particular, he noted the competence of Belarusian designers. The topic of cooperation in the field of tourism has also been updated.

- On behalf of the Head of the Presidential Administration of Belarus Dmitry Krutoy, the issue of cooperation in the sanatorium and resort sphere was worked out. In particular, the subject of sanatoriums in the Republic of Belarus, which could be somehow assigned to the Magadan region. We are already seeing possible options. If we manage to reach a specific project, it will be a positive moment for cooperation, concluded Dmitry Kiyko.
