Technology, discipline, quality. Gaidukevich - what is behind the success of the Belarusian agro-industrial complex

On Monday, October 12, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko visited the experimental field of the Dzerzhinsky agricultural plant to personally evaluate the first results of the experiment to increase the fertility of sandy soils and complex lands. What the experiment showed and what tasks Alexander Lukashenko set for scientists, explained in the talk show “Budni” on the YouTube channel “SBTV” and “Alfa Radio” Deputy of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Oleg Gaidukevich, writes sb.by. As Oleg Gaidukevich explained, modern agriculture is primarily technologies that compete in the market:

- Belarusian agriculture competes competitively and successfully in world markets. This is evidenced by the growth of exports of our goods, as well as the authority of our agricultural products and agricultural machinery in general, and the culture of production of various agricultural products. And without technology, there's nowhere. That's what the president always says.

Oleg Gaidukevich noted that the state invested a lot of money in the development of these technologies:

- The president demanded this from both scientists and agricultural workers to develop technologies, because this is the only way to increase results and make quality products that can compete in the market. And yesterday the President proved that this is the future and this must be dealt with. That science should be practice-oriented, and every scientist involved in agriculture should direct their developments to ensure that this brings a concrete practical result for agriculture and the country as a whole.

Belarus is dynamically developing agriculture and in many respects is ahead of the leading countries of the world, said Oleg Gaidukevich. He explained that quality can be achieved only if there are effective technologies, control, discipline and everyone works in their place.

“Belarus, for example, has gained authority in the field of dairy products,” Oleg Gaidukevich noted. When people from other countries hear about Belarusian milk, cheese, glazed cheese, they immediately say that it is high-quality, tasty and useful. But how did we do that? All thanks to daily work and improving quality. If we missed this issue and the President did not pay such attention to this area, the quality would fall. Quality will fall, credibility and sales will fall.

Therefore, if we want to sell more, the quality must improve, said Oleg Gaidukevich. This applies not only to food, but also to all spheres of society, including the culture of agriculture. “The president drew attention to the fact that sometimes discipline in this area is lame,” Oleg Gaidukevich reminded. We often in some farms, for example, forget to remove stones before plowing. Of course, it's a risk of breaking the technique. Imagine: the stones were not removed, and then there is a new technique, on which the state spent a lot of money, and because of these stones it can break! Who will be responsible for that? Therefore, the culture of agriculture is about discipline and adherence to technology. And the technology begins with the elementary: with the preparation of the field in order to sow there! The head of state is always demanding and takes this issue seriously. According to Oleg Gaidukevich, without the culture of agriculture there will be no quality of goods:

- It all starts here. If the field is not properly cultivated, the harvest will be lower. And they will not gather it as they could! Failed sowing - will fail and harvesting. Realizing this, the Head of State demands from officials of all levels strict control over this area.

The talk show “Budney” is released on weekdays in the morning on “Alpha Radio”. Each issue discusses the most relevant topics from the life of the country and the world. Political scientists, scientists, public figures and journalists of leading media participate in the discussions.
