Tulyaks faced a new increase in rates on bank deposits

Tulaks who keep savings in bank deposits can expect higher returns. The average maximum rate on ruble deposits in the largest Russian banks in the second decade of September reached 13.01%.

And then points out that these are the monitoring data of the Bank of Russia. The indicator is calculated on the basis of the maximum rates of ten banks that attract the most funds of individuals. Tulyaks should bear in mind that growth resumed after a prolonged decline that was observed in 2025 and 2026. In June, the average maximum rate was 12.76%. In August, the indicator did not change and remained at the level of 19.90%, and in the first decade of September rose to 12.95%. In the second decade, it reached 13.01%.

For Tulaks, the size of the yield also depends on the period for which the money is placed. In the second decade of September, the average maximum rate on deposits for up to 90 days was 12.50%, from 91 to 180 days - 12.79%, from 181 days to one year - 12.68%. For deposits for more than a year, the indicator was lower and amounted to 11.64%.

At the same time, the current values are noticeably inferior to the historical maximum. The record average maximum rate on deposits was recorded in the second decade of December 2024 - then it reached 22.28%.

Tulyaks choosing a deposit can focus not only on the advertising maximum rate of a particular bank, but also on the average market indicators, which are regularly published by the Central Bank. For comparison, according to the data for the second decade of September, the average maximum rate among the largest banks was 13.01%. In other words, for residents of the arms region, this means that after a period of declining deposit yields in September, the figure began to rise again.
