50 thousand tons of vegetables grown in the open ground were harvested in Belarus: 38% of the area was harvested

According to operational data as of September 21, 50 thousand tons were collected in agricultural organizations and peasant farms of vegetables grown in open ground. The planted area is almost 3 thousand hectares, 38% were harvested. This sb.by reported in the press service of the Ministry of agriculture.

Sugar beets were removed from an area of 32 thousand hectares, which is 29 percent of the plan of 109 thousand hectares. 1 million 424 thousand tons of root crops were dug up with an average yield of 446 centners per hectare. In terms of regions: Minsk — 596 thousand tons, Grodno — 483 thousand tons, Brest — 198 thousand tons, Mogilev — 131 thousand tons, Vitebsk — 16 thousand tons.

Potatoes were removed from 36 percent of the country's area - 8 thousand hectares from the plan of 22 thousand hectares. 272 thousand tons of potatoes were dug up with an average yield of 344 centners per hectare. In terms of regions: Mogilev — 78 thousand tons, Minsk — 65 thousand tons, Brest — 56 thousand tons, Gomel — 29 thousand tons, Grodno — 24 thousand tons, Vitebsk — 20 thousand tons.

It is noted that 9 million 251 thousand tons of grain were threshed from the fields of the republic, including rapeseed. In terms of regions, the leadership is maintained by the Minsk region with an indicator of 2 million 437 thousand tons. Grodno region threshed 1 million 846 thousand tons, Brest - 1 million 680 thousand tons. In the Mogilev region, farmers achieved a result of 1 million 219 thousand tons, in Gomel - 1 million 94 thousand tons, in Vitebsk - 975 thousand tons.

Smell under the sowing of winter grain 1 million 140 thousand hectares, which is 76 percent of the plan of 1 million 500 thousand hectares. 750,000 hectares of winter grain were sown for grain – 50 percent of the plan. All areas are moving faster than last year.

Corn is removed from 38 percent of the area, or 360,000 hectares. Hay harvested 599,000 tons (84 percent of the plan), hay — 12 million 745 thousand tons (89 percent of the plan), silage — 7 million 440 thousand tons (36 percent of the plan). The total volume of harvested herbal feed in terms of feed units reached 5 million 907 thousand tons - 58 percent of the annual plan of 10 million 131 thousand tons.

For the upcoming sowing of winter crops, 324,000 tons of active substance of mineral fertilizers (nitrogen, phosphorus and potash) are available, which is 188 percent of the plan.
