Agrarians of Brest region harvested more than 2.3 million tons of corn silage

Agrarians of the Brest region harvested more than 2.3 million tons of corn silage. That's 53 percent of the plan. To date, on September 21, almost half of the area of corn remains to be removed in the southwestern region. It's from sb.by.

Chairman of the Committee on Agriculture and Food of the Brest Regional Executive Committee Anatoly Shchuplenkov said that some agro-enterprises have already completed harvesting corn on a silo. He noted:

- In general, in the region it has been removed on more than 105 thousand hectares with a plan of about 200 thousand hectares. The silo harvested 2 million 318 thousand tons. There are also 2 million 255 thousand tons of new harvest sanage. Based on the conditional head of livestock, farms have an average of 20.6 centners of forage units of grass feed - 0.99 centner less than a year ago. The harvesting of both silo and hayage is actively continuing. Volumes are increasing every day.

The highest yield of corn mowed on a green mass, in Baranovichi district - 386 centners per hectare. In JSC "Poultry Factory "Friendship" Baranovichi district achieved the best return of this culture among all farms of the region - 468 centners per circle.

Acting Deputy General Director for Agricultural Production of OJSC "Poultry Factory "Friendship" Mikhail Polozok believes that technologically to obtain such a generous harvest did everything:

- Of course, the weather was lucky too. The corn grew on sight. We plan to remove it on the silos on 1,555 hectares. For our cattle, there will be excellent food.

In JSC "Kroshin" and JSC "StoloviciAgro" from each hectare receive almost 430 centners of green mass. Cleaning goes on the weekend. Sunny weather is replaced by rains, to lay nutritious food use all the possibilities.

In Lyakhovichi, Berezovsky and Pruzhansky districts, the yield of corn harvested on a silo is at the level of 277-290 centners per hectare. More and more trenches filled. In the Pruzhansky district, among the leaders in the bestowal of this culture is OJSC “Crane”. Of the 3.2 thousand hectares allocated for green matter, 57.6 percent were harvested in the farm.

Chief economist of OJSC "Crane" Tamara Sokolovskaya clarifies that the yield of the queen of fields is 350 centners per hectare:
