In Finland sell islands where Brezhnev came
The island complex of Yuusluoto in Finland, which in the Soviet years was used for closed meetings at a high level, put up for sale for 4.8 million euros

The island complex of Yuusluoto in Finland, which in the Soviet years was used for closed meetings at a high level, put up for sale for 4.8 million euros. According to the Finnish edition of “Taluselämä”, among the guests of the residence were the President of Finland Urho Kekkonen and General Secretary of the CPSU Central Committee Leonid Brezhnev.
The complex is located in the Archipelago Sea, on the territory of the municipality of Kustavi. The facility consists of five islands. The current owner is the energy company Fortum, which received the residence from the oil concern Neste.
They have been trying to sell real estate for more than two years. Initially, it was offered to buyers at international luxury real estate sites for 6.5 million euros, but the deal did not take place. This year, the seller focused on the Finnish market and reduced the cost to 4.8 million euros.
The buyer is offered more than 25 hectares of land and 76 hectares of water. At the same time, the maintenance of the complex costs the owner a significant amount. According to Fortum, the annual property tax is 7,500 euros, and electricity consumption reaches about 80,000 kilowatt hours.
The company explained the decision to sell the fact that the content of such representative facilities no longer corresponds to modern business principles.
According to the Finnish edition, it will not be possible to buy the complex into the property of Russian citizens. In Finland there is a ban on the purchase of real estate by Russians, introduced last year.
