Veterinary specialists continue diagnostic and preventive measures aimed at preserving the health of farm animals.
Employees of the Kanash district veterinary station conducted a planned sampling of blood from cattle in the personal subsidiary farms of the village of Shorkasy. Animals are tested for brucellosis.
At the same time, specialists performed preventive treatment of livestock against hypodermatosis. The disease is caused by larvae of the subcutaneous gadfly.
Another area of work is related to the control of herd reproduction. In the peasant farm Nikolaev S.V. in the village of Karmamei, veterinary doctors conducted an ultrasound examination of cows for thickness.
Ultrasound allows you to determine the result of insemination at an early stage and timely adjust the further content of animals. Since the beginning of 2026, more than 50 head of cattle have been examined by this method in the Kanash district.
The work is carried out in accordance with the plan of anti-epizootic measures of the State Veterinary Service of Chuvashia.
