In the Kursk region plan to invest 5 billion rubles in a new dairy complex

In Solntsevo district of the Kursk region, a large-scale project of the EkoNiva group of companies starts. We are talking about the construction of a modern dairy complex, the volume of investments in which is estimated at 5 billion rubles. The implementation of the initiative will take place within the boundaries of the free economic zone, the regional administration reports.

The agreement on the launch of construction was reached during the negotiations of the Governor of the region Alexander Khinstein and the President of EkoNiva Stefan Durr. It is worth noting that the agricultural holding has been present in the region since 2002, engaged in both crop production and livestock breeding. Kursk seeds of this manufacturer are in demand in 70 subjects of the Russian Federation, and are also sent for export.

Although the parties signed a cooperation agreement in 2019, it was not possible to complete the construction by 2021. Nevertheless, the company has already issued land rights and prepared design and estimate documentation. It is also known that in 2024, EkoNiva curtailed the activities of a livestock farm for 600 heads in the Shchigrovsky district.

It is critically important for us to create new jobs and prevent the level of livestock production from falling. Especially considering that due to the invasion of the border areas, we, unfortunately, lost part of the livestock, the head of the region emphasized the social significance of the project.

The authorities of the Kursk region are ready to provide comprehensive support to the investor. The launch of the complex will employ local residents, give impetus to the development of the agricultural sector and attract additional funds to the economy of the region.
