In Lyubertsy resumed the reconstruction of the stadium “Torpedo”

At the Torpedo stadium in Lyubertsy, a new stage of restoration work began. According to the head of the construction site Ivan Bashkatov, now the facility conducts a comprehensive survey of structures and active dismantling.

Experts assess the condition of the premises of the subtribune space. In the building of the sports and recreational complex (FOK) are already removed fallen into disrepair roofing and damaged screed. At the same time, workers free the territory from construction waste. According to forecasts, dismantling work will take about three months, but finishers and installers will come to the site in parallel.

In the basement of the FOK inspect individual heat station. The management is already signing contracts for the laying of internal engineering communications - electrical networks, ventilation, air conditioning and low-current systems. Profile contractors will begin tasks within two weeks. In addition, by the end of October, the construction site is expected to deliver key metal structures – farms to block the stands.

Special attention will be paid to the safety of the football field, which has already been commissioned. In the coming days, it will be closed with a special protective fencing, after which engineers will test the built-in heating system. Due to the strong wear of the facade of the stands, builders will have to temporarily remove plastic chairs and glass screens. At the end of the restoration, they will be reassembled.

The Torpedo Stadium was built in 1964. During its operation, it has never been overhauled. Reconstruction began in 2022, but the previous contractor did not fulfill its obligations, so in 2025 the contract was terminated.

The new contractor must correct the errors of the predecessors and complete the project. The grand opening of the updated sports complex is scheduled for 2027.
