In Pomorie built a system of continuous training for the construction industry

In the construction complex of the Arkhangelsk region there is a need for qualified specialists. According to the regional labor ministry, the vacancy database contains information on 162 employees from 28 industry organizations. The most popular slingers, painters, carpenters, carpenters and masons. Applications of construction companies account for 2.6% of the total personnel needs of the region.

Training of specialists begins from the school bench. Since 2016, the project of specialized building classes (school No14) has been successfully implemented in Arkhangelsk. Currently, about 120 schoolchildren are studying in four pre-professional classes of the city. Career guidance work is carried out within the framework of the national project "Personnel", which allows you to build a continuous trajectory: school - SPO - production.

The next link of the system is the Arkhangelsk College of Construction and Economics. An example of successful interaction between education and business was the practice of 4th year students of the specialty "Land Management" Ulyana Ikonnikova and Georgy Zhiltsov. The management of the company, where the internship took place, employed young people who now combine full-time study with a full-time working week.

According to the students, they were allowed to join the production process with a strong base of the technical school and modern equipment, in particular, an electronic tacheometer, acquired through participation in professional skills championships.

- We have a grid project, and these points need to be brought to the ground. Or vice versa: the designs are already standing, and we are doing an executive survey to check whether the actual situation coincides with the project, said Ulyana Ikonnikova.

Her fellow student Georgy Zhiltsov added that high responsibility is important in the work of the surveyor, since all subsequent construction depends on the accuracy of measurements.

Behind the success of students is the work of the teacher of geodesy Nadezhda Kalemeneva. She is a graduate of the college and has been working there since the late 90s.

- Geodesy is the foundation. Guys need to know spatial geometry, not just trust the numbers on the screen. My task as a teacher is to teach them high responsibility, because the stability of the entire building depends on how accurately the specialist works, Nadezhda Kalemeneva emphasized.

The plans of young specialists are to receive higher education in correspondence form without interruption from production. They intend to stay in the industry.

The Minister of Construction and Architecture of the Arkhangelsk Region Vladimir Polezhayev noted that such examples demonstrate the effectiveness of the continuous training system.

- Early vocational guidance in schools, a strong base of technical schools and the willingness of enterprises to invest in young people allow the region not only to cover the current need for workers, but also to form a reliable personnel reserve, he said.
