In the ranking of cities by salaries Yoshkar-Ola fell by 6 lines
In the ranking of Russian cities by salaries in the first half of 2026, Yoshkar-Ola took 59th place.
RIA Rating specialists used municipal statistics for January-June 2026 for large and medium-sized enterprises and Rosstat data on the cost of a fixed consumer set in each region to determine how many sets residents of hundreds of Russian cities – administrative centers of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation and other major cities can afford to buy for an average net salary.
The richest are the residents of New Urengoy (Yamalo-Nenets AO), Salekhard (Yamalo-Nenets AO) and Anadyr (Chukotka AO). The average monthly net salary in the first half of the year in these cities was 180 300, 170 100 and 238 600 rubles. It could purchase 5.93, 5.59 and 5.29 fixed consumer goods and services, respectively.
The rating is closed by Vladikavkaz (North Ossetia), Nalchik (Kabardino-Balkaria) and Grozny (Chechnya), where the average salaries were 55 200, 56 200 and 54 100 rubles. This was equal to the cost of 2.37, 2.21 and 2.19 sets.
Yoshkar-Ola took the 59th line in the ranking with a salary of 78,100 rubles, for which you could buy 3.24 sets.
A year earlier, the average half-year salary was 9% less. In the first half of 2025, the Mari capital took 53rd place. The average net salary was 71,600 rubles (22.1% more than a year earlier). With this money, residents of the republic could purchase 3.25 fixed consumer sets.
