Russia will develop bioregions – industrial and scientific centers of growth. This is stated in the order of the government of the country

The government has adopted a strategy for the development of the bioeconomy until 2036. In its framework, the bioeconomy is considered as a factor in the territorial development of the country.

Bioregions are specialized clusters with infrastructure for bioproduction and logistics routes. They will be associated with the production and processing of biomass.

Depending on the conditions, agro-industrial, marine and forest bioregions are planned to be created in different regions. For example, in the South of Russia and in the Volga region - agro-industrial, in Primorye and Murmansk region - marine.
