Domestic development, investment, income, demand: Cebotari - on the fundamental goals of the Union economy
The Minister of Economy of the Republic of Belarus Yuri Chebotar commented on the results of integration processes in the Union State following the results of the event held in Moscow.

The Minister of Economy of the Republic of Belarus Yuri Chebotar commented on the results of integration processes in the Union State following the results of the joint board of economic departments of Belarus and Russia held in Moscow on September 18. He also called journalists the principal tasks facing the economic departments of the two countries, reports sb.by.

Yuri Chebotar stressed that the board of the Ministry of Economy of Belarus and the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia took place on the eve of summing up the results of the three-year development program of the Union State. At such events, the ministries of economy compare the clock on the main parameters of work, he said.
- The further the integration of our economies goes and becomes deeper, the greater the interpenetration within the framework of cooperation processes, and the relations between our organizations improve. This includes the creation of joint ventures, the Belarusian Economy Minister said.

Yuri Chebotar noted that over the three years of the main directions of implementation of the provisions of the Treaty on the creation of the Union State, designed for 2024-2026, a number of landmark directions and measures have been implemented, which primarily led to an improvement in the quality of life of citizens of the association.
- These are both humanitarian and economic issues. Today, out of 10 citizens arriving in Belarus for vacation, 9 are Russians. This is also due to the measures we have implemented, the Belarusian Economy Minister said.
Yuri Chebotar added that the Union government sees coordination of convergence of economic systems of states as one of the important functions of the ministries of economy.

- The task is to push our colleagues somewhere and find mutually acceptable solutions – this is our function. In this regard, the key issue of today’s board is that we discussed the forecast for economic development for next year and gave estimates for the current period. Despite the global turbulence, the main goal for us remains domestic development, investment, incomes of the population, domestic demand. And that's something we need to work on more. We set all these goals for ourselves next year. I am sure that we will implement them together, the Belarusian Economy Minister concluded.
Belarus and Russia have understanding of strategic goals and readiness to move forward
