Debt Voronezh mortgage loans exceeded 261 billion rubles

As of September 1, the total debt of residents of the Voronezh region on mortgage loans reached 261.4 billion rubles. This was announced on October 8 by the press service of the Bank of Russia.

Over the past month, this figure added 1.4 billion rubles. At the same time, the volume of overdue payments increased by 47 million rubles and amounted to 2.83 billion rubles, which corresponds to just over 1% of the total amount of mortgage debt.

The total amount of credit debt of Voronezh residents on all types of loans reached 472.2 billion rubles, an increase of 2 billion rubles per month. At the same time, citizens’ funds placed on deposit accounts amounted to 845.6 billion rubles. Another 23.7 billion rubles accounted for savings in foreign currency and investments in precious metals.

The average mortgage loan in the region is 3.9 million rubles. The average loan term fell from 26 years and two months to 24 years and eight months. Every sixth mortgage loan is issued for the purchase or construction of a private house.

With the growth of mortgage debt, the volume of housing construction in the Voronezh region for the period from January to August decreased by more than 28%.
