The average salary in the Tula region by the end of 2026 may amount to 94.3 thousand rubles per month. Such a forecast is given in the document on the socio-economic development of the region, published on the website of the regional Ministry of Economic Development, the Tula press reports.

The figure is expected to grow by 9.9% compared to 2025.

In the future, the income of residents will continue to increase. According to the forecast, by 2029, the average monthly salary will reach 114.6 thousand rubles in the conservative scenario and 115.6 thousand rubles in the basic. This is 1.3-1.4 times higher than the level of 2025.

To maintain the growth of wages, the regional authorities intend to annually increase the minimum wage, monitor the level of income of certain categories of state employees and index the salaries of public sector employees who are not included in the list of employees for whom targets are set.

It is also important to note that in 2026 the unemployment rate in the Tula region is projected to be no higher than 1.6%, which corresponds to about 12.8 thousand people. By 2029, the figure may be 1.6-1.7%. At the same time, the number of labor force, according to experts, will increase to 795.5 thousand people - by 0.3% compared to 2025.

Earlier, MK in Tula reported on the forecast of the level of poverty in the region. According to the regional ministry, by the end of 2026, the share of residents with incomes below the poverty line may reach 6.2%, and by 2029 it will decrease to 5.9%.
