15-year-old girl attacked other students with a knife at school

Five students were stabbed at a school in Istanbul’s Basaksehir district. The victims were hospitalized, the Istanbul provincial governor's office said.

The incident occurred on Tuesday at about 08:40. According to preliminary data, a conflict arose between the schoolgirls, after which one of the participants took out a knife.

According to Yeni Şafak, the attacker was a 15-year-old student from another school. The school guard detained her on the spot. An investigation has begun into what happened.

After the April shooting incident at the Kahramanmarash school, security measures have been stepped up at Turkish educational institutions. We will remind, then killed nine people, including eight schoolchildren, another 13 were injured.
