60-year-old resident of Stavropol will appear in court for helping fraudsters

The Investigative Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia “Turkmensky” has completed the investigation of the criminal case against a 60-year-old resident of the village of Divny Apanasenkovo district. She is accused of fraud on an especially large scale.
According to the investigation, the attackers called citizens, posing as employees of law enforcement agencies and banks, and reported false information that their savings could allegedly be used to finance criminal activities. Under the pretext of “declaring” money, they persuaded people to withdraw savings and transfer them to couriers.
The victim of the scammers was a 63-year-old resident of the village of Small Yagury of the Turkmen district. From July to August 2026, she withdrew from her account and handed over to couriers a total of more than 3.9 million rubles.
The pensioner gave the last 750 thousand rubles to the accused, who, on the instructions of the organizers, came to her home. Having received the money, the woman flew to Moscow on the same day and handed them over to unidentified accomplices, keeping 50 thousand rubles.
The police established the identity and location of the suspect. She was arrested on her return from the capital.
The investigation is completed, the criminal case is sent to court. Materials concerning unidentified accomplices have been allocated to a separate proceeding.
