Employees of the unit for combating economic crimes of the Internal Affairs Department of Grodno region revealed a scheme of systemic corruption in the business environment. This is reported by the press service of the interior Ministry.
It turned out that the 60-year-old deputy director of the branch of the enterprise on a regular basis took bribes from a representative of a commercial organization. The money was transferred for the fact that this contractor was involved in the repair work. The detention of the official was carried out with the assistance of riot policemen at the moment when he received another part of the illegal remuneration.
From January 2024 until the moment of detention, the man illegally received more than 70 thousand rubles. Investigators opened a criminal case on bribery on an especially large scale.
Under this article, the defendant may be sentenced to imprisonment for up to 15 years.
