In the Kakhov district for the third month there is practically no communication and Internet

Due to regular attacks by the armed forces of Ukraine on the civilian infrastructure of the Kherson region, residents of most settlements of the Kakhov district have been living without communication and the Internet for the third month. This was reported by the Governor of the region Vladimir Saldo.

Due to the strikes of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in most settlements of the district, communications and the Internet are not working for the third month. People cannot normally call loved ones, call an ambulance, the Ministry of Emergency Situations or contact utilities. Living in such a situation is difficult... Communication people need to return as soon as possible, wrote Mr. Saldo in his social networks.

According to him, local authorities and businesses are preparing a plan for the restoration of communication infrastructure, which involves repairing surviving equipment, connecting generators and equipping with new equipment. There are also plans to launch an Internet service provider and connect a national roaming service so that residents can communicate independently of their operator.

According to official documents, more than 70 thousand people lived in the Kakhov municipal district at the beginning of 2022.

Earlier, the authorities of the Kherson region announced that all critical infrastructure facilities of Genichesk, Kakhovka, Nova Kakhovka and Skadovsk, as well as all educational institutions of the region will be provided with backup power sources as soon as possible. The educational process in schools is carried out, if necessary, in a mixed mode: remotely and actually.
