Lomonosovsky District Court of Arkhangelsk sent Olga Tolstova to the pre-trial detention center until November 9, the director of the transport company Malavto LLC, whose bus on September 11 got into an accident with 13 dead. The woman is accused of providing services that do not meet safety requirements. This was reported by TASS.
The accident occurred on September 11 on the highway M-8 "Kholmogory". As established by law enforcement officers, the driver of GAZelle was traveling at a speed of 90 km / h at a maximum permissible speed of 60 km / h. Not having time to complete the overtaking, he drove into the oncoming lane and collided with a Nissan car and a Reno logger.
The victims of the accident were 13 people, including bus drivers and loggers, as well as four children. Seven people suffered serious health damage. The authorities of the Arkhangelsk region declared September 12 a day of mourning.
The investigation believes that Tolstova knew about frequent traffic violations by the driver (more than 40 times in a year and a half) and complaints of passengers about his aggressive driving style. Despite this, the director of "Malavto" did not check the professional fitness of the subordinate, did not organize re-certification and additional control over his work. In addition, the driver was assigned increased shifts and reduced rest time. So, 15 days before the accident, the driver had only one day off. Also, Olga Tolstova did not organize medical examinations of drivers after flights.
