Canadian justice is seeking the strongest possible conviction of Kenneth Lowe, who sold poison sets with instructions on the Internet. They were ordered by suicides all over the world.
This week, the prosecution summoned relatives of the victims from Britain to testify. They will have to prove the scale of the crime and help prosecutors push for a tougher sentence from 14 to 20 years in prison.
Kenneth Lowe, a former chef, has sold more than 1,200 sets of deadly substances to 41 countries since 2020, including the UK. He was arrested in 2023, and in May 2026 he pleaded guilty to 14 cases in Canada when prosecutors agreed to reclassify murder charges as assisting or inciting suicide. Lowe is also responsible for 79 deaths in the UK.
